I was hesitant on coming in because of the reviews but I was glad I did. Everyone was really nice and solved my issues that I was having. I def recommend this store!
Not a good place. Employees clueless. Without a sought the worst phone store ever. The employee actually had me get on the phone to corporate because they had no idea how to handle my issue. SPRINT in general blows. They have NO control over there 3rd party owned stores.
Max tried a few things and could not get anything to change. He then called who he said was his manager who in the conversation told Max to do the same things that he had already done. My girlfriend asked if it could be the SIM card to which Max said this one does not have one. I knew it did but decided to let Max try and figure it out. Needless to say he spent another 15 minutes trying to figure it out and then realized it did in fact have a SIM card. He took it out played with it for a bit, did not say sorry for his mistake and continued to text with his manager. At this time Max informed me that I am eligible for an upgrade and that his manager said that it must be the phone.
I know that you all get paid on upgrades! I know you get paid on contract extensions and new lines! Remember I had just paid Sprint over $400 on a phone that we broke and I had no issue with doing it cause it was our fault. But to have someone recommend replacing a phone that was not broken and had little to no issue because of a dirty SIM card is dishonest and completely unacceptable.
Went to store later that evening and a different employee (Ingrid) also very nice and helpful got the phones swapped out and upgraded, even stayed late after they were technically closed to finish up.
What is worse is to find out that his manager was in fact not the manager but the District Manager Kevin. I will make sure to update with his last name once I have it. I have switched phone companies for less in the past. I will be forwarding this to the Chamber of Commerce, BBB, and YELP as well. This is just not how to do things.
This store is understaffed and provides poor customer service. Prepare to wait a long time if you stop in.
IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IS WRONG, JUST SAY YOU DON'T KNOW. I WONDER HOW MANY PHONES HAVE BEEN REPLACED WHEN THEY WERE NOT NEEDED.
Now I have been in retail for many years. I have been into electronics since I was a boy and knew this did not make sense. So I asked again if it could be the SIM card. He told me that his manager said that it could only be the phone. The manager was never in the store. He told me I would have to take it to a repair store in Germantown to see if it could be something else. Remember this is after telling me that the only thing it could be was the phone and I should upgrade. I told him I would just take the phone.
New Store. We went in and found Max at the store. Max was very nice however did not know much when it came to phones. I informed him that we had just purchased a new phone for my girlfriend the same day in Frederick, got home and found that after about an hour we were experiencing issues with my phone saying no service. I am a researcher so I had already done research on what the issue could be before going in.
Above and beyond expectations
I have owned iphones since the beginning. I knew this was not right. I took the phone home, took out the SIM card and used a eraser on a Number 2 pencil to clean the contacts on the SIM card. I put it back in and wouldn't you know it, service was back.
Called store to check phone availability and upgrade options. Employee (Jennifer) was super nice and helpful answering all my questions.
