DUMC has been our church home since 1998. Our family has grown and changed over the years just like this faith community. It remains a place for us to celebrate and explore along our faith journey. We strive to be relevant to today's circumstances while remaining true to our distinctiveness as Methodists and as Christians.
Please don't preach about giving during this time of giving when you won't take things of use that you could actually give to those in need.
I have an SUV full of donations for children and adults. At this time of giving and with Christmas just days away, I was shocked that my donations were not wanted due to no room. On top of that, the Harwood House was rude and said no donations till after the 1'st of the new year. I've been shopping at that thrift store for years, and my mind is blown that they would turn anything away that would benefit the church and those in need. It's a shame for me to bring it to the good will and my thoughts and effort were pretty much for nothing.
